MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHWEST GULF ON TUESDAY. THE PRESSURE
GRADIENT BETWEEN THIS FEATURE AND HIGH PRESSURE TO THE NORTH
WILL RESULT IN STRONG EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS ALONG THE
UPPER TEXAS COAST. THIS WILL RESULT IN ELEVATED TIDE LEVELS
DURING THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE TUESDAY.

A DEVELOPING SURFACE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE LOWER TEXAS COAST
WILL LEAD TO STRENGTHENING NORTHEAST AND EAST WINDS OVERNIGHT
AND TUESDAY OVER SOUTHEAST TEXAS. EAST WINDS WILL HELP TO INCREASE
TIDE LEVELS 1.0 TO 2.0 FEET ABOVE THE ASTRONOMICALLY PREDICTED
LEVELS. THIS MAY RAISE WATER LEVELS ENOUGH TO CAUSE MINOR COASTAL
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS. THE FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO ONLY
LAST A FEW HOURS...CENTERED AROUND THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE. TIDE
LEVELS WILL FALL RAPIDLY TUESDAY EVENING AS THE WINDS SHIFT
BACK TO THE NORTH.
